LOADING OPERATIONS

• 3 minutes per unit saved in the load hooking operations. (alongside ship).
• 2.5 minutes per unit saved in unload operations.
• It means that in some cases the cost of a work shift is saved.
• Reduction in shipping costs because load operations will be quicker ( depending on the number of units to be stowed).
• Required 1 docker less per shift (alongside ship) and 2 dockers less per shift (on board).
• Elimination of the cherry picker cost in those ports where it is used, or Reach Stacker to unhook (on board).
• There is no need to open/close the tarpaulin.
• Cost-cut regarding the flaws repairs caused by the shackles and by the J hooks in the ends brims.
• We have increased  the loading rate twofold from 5 to 10 blades/hour, in the two vessels trial.Ç
• That implies the elimination of a working shift per shipping.

RECEIPT IN STOCKPILE AREA

• Very quick unloading from truck.

• From 1 to 3,5 minutes saved per unit ( depending on the number of piles) in unloading operations from truck.

• Required 2 dockers less per working shift in the shift operations.
